I've achieved my goal of listing jewelry for sale by January 1, 2011. I set up my Etsy store mid-December, and have been busy writing the policies, photographing my jewelry, and finally listing some of it yesterday.
The second thing I wanted to accomplish with my jewelry business was to begin a blog. My youngest son suggested it, and it sounded like an excellent addition to the process. So...here I am!
I've been making jewelry for friends and family since about 2004, and decided to begin selling it a couple of months ago. Though selling it had been suggested by others many times, I resisted the idea because I was afraid that it would take the fun out of making jewelry. Boy was I wrong! All kinds of creative doors have opened as I explore making pieces inspired, not just for 'one' person in mind, but for...well...anyone. What a freeing experience creatively!
I'm looking forward to meeting other jewelry-makers, and making new friends within this community.
